In the Beginning…

Starting his own journey in the autobody shop industry back in 2006, On Track Body Shop owner Scott Jones searched for a way to support the Newton community while utilizing his own specialty – quality autobody repair.

And Then…

Scott realized there was a true need for a professional and transparent autobody shop in the community. He started PlatinumPDR Plus Paint in 2018 to provide exceptional repair while treating customers fairly along the way.

Our Breakthrough…

In 2022, Scott and the team decided the PlatinumPDR Plus Paint name didn’t fully reflect its loyalty and dedication to the Newton community. A new identity was necessary to truly become a long-term local staple.

A New Identity…

With this vision in mind, PlatinumPDR Plus Paint became On Track Body Shop. We continue to be Newton’s premier autobody shop, and provide everything from hail and collision repair to paint and detail work.

General FAQs

My vehicle was hit with hail! What’s next?

File your claim with your insurance company. We’ll do the rest! We’ll even pick up and deliver your car to you.

What is PDR?

PDR, or Paintless Dent Repair is the process of repairing small dings and dents (including those caused by hail damage) by manipulating automotive body panels with specialized tools and equipment, without damaging the vehicle’s paint finish.

When done correctly, the damaged area is undetectable. For more info on PDR check out our services page in the PDR section –> Click here

Why is PDR better than other conventional body repair methods?

Conventional body repair methods involve grinding the existing paint from the vehicle, using fillers such as “bondo” to fill the damaged areas, and respraying the panels.

This process can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to perform!

Because PDR doesn’t do any of these things, the original finish remains intact. No problem with mismatched paint!

It also can be accomplished in one to three days.

Do I have to choose the auto hail repair shop my insurance company suggests?

No, you can select which body shop you want to use.
